Hello everyone. This is the likely the first time that you have looked at these forums, or any forums in some cases, and there is some information you should know.

+ A forum works like a giant message board. First you select which section you want, let's say the 8th Grade section. Once there, you will see a list of things called 'threads'. These 'threads' consist of titles, in a list form. Each 'thread' is a conversation on the topic mentioned in the title. Select the thread you want by clicking on it. Once inside you can read all of the conversation that has been 'posted'. To make a 'post' or comment yourself, hit the 'Reply' button at the bottom left of the page. Please keep all conversation related to the title of the thread, or something that pertains closely. If you wish to discuss something else, there is an option at the top of the 'thread' list to 'Create a Topic' of your own. In which case, please make sure this topic pertains to the subject of the section you are in, in this case, to the 8th Grade section.

+ Anyone in the world can use these forums, so to prevent any mis-use of them, we require that you create an account to make any posts. Account creation is simple. Directly below the title is a grey bar with many options, beginning with 'Home' and ending with 'Log In'. Directly in the middle is the option to 'Register'. Once you have agreed to the 'User Terms', a simple set of rules saying that we will not abuse this service, please fill in the information it asks for.

-Username
This is the name you will be known by on these forums.
One of the best options is your full name, first and last.

-E-mail address
This is important, while your confirmation will be sent
here. You must pick up your confirmation e-mail to
register. More on this later.

-Password/Confirm Password
To assure that you are the only one using your account,
please enter a password that will be used with your
username to log-in to these forums. It is a wise idea to
tell no one outside of your family this password for
security reasons.

-Confirmation Code
This code is an image that represents letters/numbers
but is actually just a picture. Please enter the numbers or
letters as you see them. This is a precaution against
computers who scan the internet to find forums and
fill them with advertisements and useless junk
automatically. They only read this as a picture, and
cannot make out the correct code to enter.

Most of the rest of the options are more technical, and unnecesary. Feel free to skip them. If you know what they pertain to, feel free to fill the information in. Finally, at the bottom of the screen, hit the 'Submit' button. Within a few minutes, and e-mail will be sent to the address you supplied earlier. Open this e-mail, and click on the web-address it gives you to activate your account. From now on, simply click the 'Log In' Button on the top/right side of the forum, and fill in your Username and Password. If you do not get an e-mail within a day of submitting your information, please contact staff at Trinity, or myself at the e-mail address under my account and we will manually activate the account for you.

+ 'Private Messages' are the method of sending messages back and forth between just two forum users. Next to the 'Log In' button on the ight side of the page is the 'Messages' button. You can check your messages here, as well as write to other users. To send a message to a user, all you need is their Username.

+ These forums can be for conversation, schedule planning, questions, or anything else that may arise. They can also be a powerful tool for the school on homework records/questions. If used regularly forums can be one of the most succesful communication tools available.
