I am wondering what folks think about the recent revelations about Mother Thresa, that for almost the entirety of her ministry, she was full of doubt and consumed with a sense of the absence of Christ in her life. For some, this just increases her "saintliness" and Christ-likeness in personal suffering, but for others, it supports their contention that there is no God or Christ.
What do you think?

I understand she requested these letters be destroyed, so I think it was wrong to go public. Constant exposure to such suffering would make anyone be doubtful and question their faith, yet she held on. I believe she held on because her faith was deeper than her mind acknowledged. Every human needs to be refreshed, you can't continue to physically and emotionally pour out without being filled up again. After all is said and done, she was still confined by her human attributes, resulting in a sense of an absence of Christ in her life. But she pressed on because in her heart, she knew the truth. TLL
